Press Release: Nestlé S.A. has completed today its most recent share buyback program in accordance with the announcement published when it was launched on January 3, 2022. Since then, Nestlé S.A. has repurchased 187,372,141 of its shares for a total of CHF 20 billion at an average purchase price per share of CHF 106.74.
13,892,141 shares repurchased under the program were cancelled by the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on April 7, 2022. 80,000,000 repurchased shares were cancelled by the AGM held on April 20, 2023. 50,000,000 repurchased shares were cancelled by the AGM held on April 18, 2024. As a result, the share capital of Nestlé S.A. was reduced to CHF 262,000,000. Nestlé S.A.'s 2025 AGM will decide upon the cancellation of the remaining 43,480,000 repurchased shares.
